Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.
Every Thanksgiving for years, I would go to a grocery store and buy an entire Thanksgiving dinner for a family of 5 or 6. Meat, chicken, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, dressing, cranberry sauce, nuts, candies, pies, soft drinks, chips, whatever I felt belonged in a Thanksgiving dinner. Then, I would wait outside the store for someone who appeared to be, without smiles and maybe a little in need of someone to show them some kindness. I would tell them that I wished them a wonderful Thanksgiving. I never told them my name or where I worked. If you could have seen the looks on their faces, you would understand why I do this. If you saw the smile on my face, you would really understand the terrific feeling I get on Thanksgiving day.
Small Acts, big smiles.
