           JOB FANTASIES.

    What’s your dream job?

        THEN

Honestly, when i was young, i always wanted to be a policeman. It was just something i felt very attached to, and which i would always try to search about. It seemed very cool and interesting when i would watch videos with policemen having their own cars, as well as guns. Moreover, i loved those handheld transceivers that they had.

    Navy fighter pilot

(Thanks, Top Gun). This was my earliest dream job,
When teachers asked me what I wanted to become when I grew up, I said a pilot.

    Why

Because it sounded cool, I’ll get to fly planes.

    Lawyer
There was a show ‘Adaalat’ which was aired on Sony TV. I was so fascinated by the character KD Pathak that I thought I’ll become a lawyer.

    Pastry chef
Then, I started watching TLC (television channel). And they had some good shows on baking cake. Again, I got fascinated by these pastry chefs. So I thought I’ll be a pastry chef.

    Scientist

Largely inspired by the chemistry set I had as a child, I pictured myself wearing a white lab coat and surrounded by a complex array of test tubes, bunsen burners and pipettes.

    Journalist

I wanted to be a journalist, so as I am seen by people on television anchoring news, l wanted to do TV shows mainly for youth ,investigating news in the field.

I think one of the main reasons as to why i want to be a journalist is because i love to read and write. i spend a lot of time reading, i’m literally a book nerd. i just love reading because it ignites my imagination and expands knowledge. to me, it is really just a great way to spend time to yourself and helps me to escape the world when it gets boring. i’m also a very shy girl, i’m an introvert like, for real, the personality tests i’ve done showed the same results. It always starts with the letter “i” as in INTROVERT. and i have a lot of things that i want to share to the world but considering how shy i am, i found comfort in writing, like i can show the world my vision and my thoughts without having to stand in front of thousands of people. and this is why i want to be a journalist, is because with my love for reading and writing, i can see myself narrating an objective story about something that happened or is happening based on my observations and discoveries. and also with my writing skills, i feel like i have the skill to tell stories that focus on human interest or humanitarian stories and even tell the stories of people who might not have a voice.

Being a journalist means i have to meet a lot of people with different backgrounds. that can help me find out more and learn something about others, the world, and myself all at the same time. being a journalist also means that we can educate people because we live in our own worlds and we all love to think that we are educated and know everything about everything, but the fact is we don’t, and this is where journalism steps in to break out of those confines and informs the world about the issues and the events with credible facts. like seriously, journalists have the ability to educate and shape public perception.

I’m also a very curious person. like isn’t that one of the keys to being a journalist? having curiosity in all of things? and with this curiosity, it allows journalists to seek out the truth in something and shine a light on topics the world was previously unaware of. OH, AND I ALSO LOVE TRAVELLING. i really want to travel all around the world and meet amazing people. i just love visiting new countries and immerse myself in different cultures. i really want to meet people from other places because i’ll be exposed to new places, people, and cultures, and i can develop a wider world view. with journalism, i know i will be able to travel.

I can go on for hours about how much i love journalism, so i’ll stop and finish with a conclusion: i want to be a journalist because i want to uncover the truth in all areas of society, and most importantly, spark a change.

    NOW

I am preparing to go work on big TV station in our country.😂

  • FADED BUT UNFORGOTTEN.

Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

My followers might be surprised, but here’s my answer:
    A wooden cross necklace.

Gifted to me on a mission trip when I was a teen by a stranger from another church. This is my one treasure. I actually like to keep close. Of course, to me, it’s not only a symbol of my faith in something greater than and beyond myself, but also of the great kindness even strangers can demonstrate toward one another. Even though it’s somewhat of a tradition to craft and give out crosses on such mission trips, it still meant the world to me that this stranger chose to give their cross to me.

I used to wear this cross every day, but I have since fallen out of practice. (This is primarily out of fear that one may look at me differently for wearing it.) Maybe it’s time to break it out again!

Hopefully, this reminds you of just how important a demonstration of kindness can be to the recipient(s).

         Hold tight, memories last.

            12TH FEBRUARY.

Share what you know about the year you were born.

“12th February 2004 is the day I stepped into the world fresh outta my mother’s womb. It’s etched in history not just because it’s my birthday. Bobi Wine, the man of the moment in Uganda, shares it too! Growing up, I would hear his tunes vibin’ in the streets of Kampala 🎶. Now, he’s makin’ waves in politics. Sharing a bday with a legend’s got to be a sign, right?✨ I am living life one day at a time. I am grateful for every bit of it 🙏. And that’s the real flex. As l chase dreams and makes memories 🎊, l remember: every year adds a new chapter 📖. Here’s to many more years of blessings, adventure, and making memories.
