  • WHEN HOURS FEEL LIKE MINUTES.

    WHEN HOURS FEEL LIKE MINUTES.

Which activities make you lose track of time?

        Time flies when………..

Quite honestly, any activity I engage in will keep me so involved that I have occasionally literally spent all day occupied without noticing time passing. I will stop using the bathroom or drink some water, but I don’t feel hunger, just eagerness to get back to what I am doing.

This may be due to the fact that I won’t do anything that doesn’t bring me enjoyment. And I have to be in the mood for that particular interest.

    Blogging

I do write something, and it also goes as it is part of research, basically reading and writing. When an idea possesses my mind, my pen and I make an unstoppable team.

    While learning
When I’m trying to learn something new, my mind gets totally caught up in absorbing new information, and I tend to forget to take breaks.

    When eating a leisurely meal
I will always be a foodie at heart. When eating good food, I lose track of time relishing it, taking the time to taste every single flavour.
(I once spent an entire day reading and finishing Gone with The Wind), and writing stories on my blog.

Any number of things. Watching movies comes to mind first. Lots of time can pass without being aware of it. Listening to music as l do house chores, going through my social media platforms,  a long call from my mum and sisters, daily gym session every evening. There are some computer games where I can put my head down, play for a while, then look up to find 3 hours have gone by. Reading a really good book can do that, too. Many times, I sit down to relax while on tv, look up, and suddenly it’s in the middle of the night.

OWN THE NIGHT, RULE THE DAY.

What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

    Purpose, not passion.

I’m passionate about a lot of things. Those of you who know me well know my obsession with food, watching movies, and writing stories. However, these are not what wake me up every morning.
Purpose is what gets you started; passion is what keeps you going.

healthy daily morning routine starts the night before!!

You need to make sure that you are sleeping on time in order to achieve 7–8hrs of sleep.

To figure the time you need to wake up at, you need to ask yourself questions like WHAT are the activities that you would like to do in the morning?

You may find huge lists of such activities that you “should” do but I believe that each person is different and a healthy morning routine of one person might be a nightmare for another, instead we want it to be totally opposite.

    WHAT ACTIVITIES SHOULD YOU DO?

The ones that you enjoy or bring you closer to your goals.

So sit down and think about your life goals and interests. Is it to start your own business or work on a hobby? Then reserve some time for that. Do you want to be fit and healthy? What kinds of exercises do you enjoy? Is it strength training, running, dancing, yoga? Reserve some time for that. Do you like to learn something new every day? Do you like to read books? Reserve some time for that. Are you living away from your parents and don’t usually get time to talk to them but would love to? Reserve some time for that. I think you get the picture 🙂

DO YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY OR YOU CAN DO THEM IN EVENING?

Figure out your most energetic/productive time.

Once you know the activities you like/enjoy to do or need to do in order to achieve your goals, you need to ask yourself what time of the day you are most productive. As much as I support waking up early in morning and be productive, I also believe that for a lot of people it is next to impossible but they find it pretty easy to do these things in the evening as they feel very productive and energetic at that time.

So think about these questions, analyze your current behaviour, mood, and patterns, and still, if you are unable to answer all of them, just try different things. Try reading a book. Try different forms of exercising every time to find out your favourites. Try waking up 15 minutes earlier than usual and see how it affects you or your activities.

         TUNE INTO WHAT MOVES YOU.

What is your favorite genre of music?

Since I’m a Certified Teenage Girl, people and society generally think I am obsessed with shallow pop music.

The thing is, they’re not entirely wrong.

There are categories of music I could group my tastes into. I’ll bold my favourite artists.

Basic Pop: These are artists like Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Troye Sivan, Lorde, Zara Larsson. Basic stuff you could find on the radio.

Bedroom/Indie Pop: Some artists include mxmtoon, khai dreams, mimi bay, girl in red, Clairo, tiffi, and Lana Del Rey. These are great, underrated artists that I love.

Lofi: Mostly, there’s only one artist I exclusively like from the lofi scene: lando!. His beats are super cute and relaxing.

Pop-rock: I’m not super into this genre, but I generally like Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots, and Panic! At the Disco.

Hip-hop/Rap: I’m aware that genre lines have increasingly blurred, especially recently, but I’m still counting Post Malone here. I also enjoy Cardi B, and I love the entire Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse album. Besides Sunflower, I also love Scared of the Dark by Lil Wayne and Ty Dolla $ign feat. XXXTENTACION.

K-pop: l love this genre because it includes so many different elements of music. I’m not like a fan of the bands themselves, I just love the music. If you had me identify BTS’s members, I couldn’t, but I would count myself as an ARMY. Other ones I love are NCT 127, NCT DREAM (NCTzen) , PENTAGON (Universe), TOMORROW X TODAY (MOA) , SEVENTEEN, GOT7, MONSTA X, and BlackPink (BLINK).

Soundtracks/Musicals: Hamilton. I hands down love the whole track. It’s legendary. I also like the La La Land soundtrack and, as aforementioned, the Spider-man soundtrack. In musicals, I really enjoy Dear Evan Hansen and Six. I used to listen to some songs from the Mary Poppins Returns soundtrack.
