JOY IN THE LITTLE THINGS

What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?

My Simple Joys

I wasn’t searching for paradise in faraway lands or waiting for something magical to happen. My happiness lived in the small things — the kind of things that stitched themselves into my daily life like quiet, golden threads.

                   Every Morning

Every morning began with a deep breath and a grateful heart. Eyes open, l smiled. I was alive. That alone was worth celebrating. Before anything else, l whispered a prayer, thanking God for the gift of another day — for my life, for my family, and for all the unseen blessings that held her steady.

                       Music and house chores

Then the day slowly bloomed. I turned on my favourite playlist, a mix of soulful tunes and rhythmic beats, letting the music float through the house. As l cleaned, washed clothes, and dusted corners, the chores didn’t feel like tasks — they felt like therapy. There was something soothing in the suds and the sweep in the way l world felt fresh and in order.

                 Home Movie Vibes

And when l needed a break, l turned to my favourite kind of escape: action detective series. The thrill, the suspense, the clever unravelling of secrets — it all kept me on the edge of her seat. A good episode could turn an ordinary afternoon into a thrilling ride.

                          Food Hours

Then came one of her favorite guilty pleasures — a nap after a meal. There was nothing quite like it. The kind of deep, cozy rest that wrapped her up and whispered, “You’ve earned this.”

                    Evening Hours in Gym

By evening, lwas back on my feet, slipping into my gym wear. The gym was my power zone. Each workout was a promise to myself — to stay strong, to feel good, to move with purpose. It wasn’t about pressure. It was about passion.

                  My TikTok live stream

And as night rolled in, l lit up TikTok live stream. That little corner of the internet was my stage, my community, my joy. I laughed, talked, danced, shared my world — and others listened. They connected. They showed up. And that filled her heart.

My days weren’t made of grand events or wild adventures. But they were rich with meaning. With gratitude. With music, mystery, movement, and love.

I didn’t chase happiness. I lived it — one simple joy at a time.
