What are you most worried about for the future?
What problems do you worry about future generations having to deal with?
Economy: Every 10 years, there seems to be a market crash. And we are right at that 10 year mark.
I’m not worried about over-population (there’s plenty of room on the planet).
Love: If I’ll ever marry and have kids. I am picky about dating and have no desire to “settle” or get married because I’m “supposed to”. It has to feel right or not at all.
Family: My parents aren’t old but they are getting older. It is hard to imagine my life without them.
I’m not worried about climate change or energy (we’re an adaptable species. Our ability to create resources out of previously useless materials will continue, and we’ll develop new technologies and innovations).
I’m worried that we’re losing our ability to make real connections and develop meaningful relationships. Social media does not create such relationships. Texting doesn’t bring people close. Only face-to-face interaction can do that.
I’m worried about our mythical quest for equality of outcome. Equality of opportunity is essential, but only a dictatorship can ensure equality of outcome.
